I just finished repairing a rather large specimen of
Chalcosoma caucasus. It belongs to my good friend Michel Gagne, and was a gift to him from his brother in Quebec. When it originally arrived at Michel's place, it was slightly damaged, having partially lost three of its legs and its wing covers (elytra). After reattaching each leg and elytron, this critter is especially impressive, and it would probably really freak me out if it were crawling, or worse, flying through my living room, which is saying a lot. It was nice having this thing around for a while.
